This a card to be given by the groom to the bride on the wedding day, how romantic is that! Ours was an arranged marriage and both of us could not care less for each other at that time ;) .......

Almost vintage.....

I wanted to make a vintage card.......but didn't exactly get the desired effect, but I love it nonetheless! Since I don't have white ink I tried stamping with white acrylic paint, I liked it so much that I stamped on the inside too(which did not come out too well :( )...the tag on top is from a sweater I bought recently.
This card is inspired by Card Patterns sketch #96 and is on its way to a very special friend.....

Another first anniversary card

I've tried to do something different this time, made the entire card in the shape of a heart, took a lot of time n effort to put together mainly because all the heart shapes are hand drawn and handcut and also because I'm not comfortable with working on anything other than a square/rectangle. But I am really happy with the end result.

Love....

Both me n DH are much better now........thank you for your wishes, you girls are the best!!
Well I had made a series of lovey dovey cards last month but didn't post (I'm not going to post all of them, it'll be too monotonous). This one is more like a book, it has 10 pages.....

Have a great weekend!

Red n Green

I'm back after a long break, the unexpected break happened when my husband, Aridaman fell ill and had to be hospitalized, and by the time he got discharged I caught a terrible cold and fever. Aridaman is still not ok and my energy levels are also very low :( (I have a really bad attack of sinusitis which is not getting better).......anyway I did manage to do some crafting........
I made a few Christmas cards in the traditional red and green color combo......here's one of them...

This card goes out to the following challenges:
Cooking It Up #41 - Layer Me A Red Christmas
Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge Blog - Challenge #44
Stampieve - Challenge #120 - Christmas

Up cycled chocolate box

The moment I laid my eyes on this chocolate box (which was gifted to my brother-in-law by his office on the occasion of Diwali) I knew I wanted to up-cycle it..........I forgot to take a picture before the up-cycling (it was a plain corrugated cardboard box) as I was in a big hurry to complete the project cause today's the last day to enter Amy Duff's up-cycling challenge at Yvonne's blog.....
I've used the famous Forrest Gump quote, which I feel is so true and it makes it so much fun too!
This how the box looks with the top flap opened.......
 Have a great weekend!

Many Many Thanks

I tried heat embossing for the first time yesterday. It didn't come out too well mostly because I am an untidy stamper and I don't have a heat gun......but I did like the results enough to try again some time soon......I've embossed 3 flowers to highlight them and stamped the rest lightly, I even embossed the sentiment......

This card is inspired by Card Patterns sketch #90
Waiting for the weekend to come soooooooon..........

Hi There!

Just a simple card to share. The card is inspired by Get Sketchy GS #64. I have used my own version of Tim Holtz Idea-ology tissue tape. I took scalloped circles of different colors and 2 sizes, crumpled them separately and put them together to make the flower.

First Wedding Anniversary Card

I was up till 4 am on Tuesday morning to complete this card, I always take more time than I anticipate to complete a card. Anyway I am really happy with the way it turned out. Pink and Red is not really my kind of color combo so I had a tough time putting this together......this is a 7 page card/mazebook.
Have used a lot of my favorite Itsy Bitsy chipboard alphas on the cover and the 2nd page along with some cuttlebug die-cut alphas.
Loads of heart shaped tags to write personal messages.
An anniversary poem and space to put a pic. The rose image is a printed paper napkin which I treated using Laura's and Mansi's Tips.  The dark pink rectangle is for pasting a photo, the hearts semi-circle above it is a chocolate wrapper from Yvonne.
I've used Tim Holtz alphabet masks for "love", the heart was made by stitching together two hearts and stuffing it with cotton.
Have a great weekend!
