Sleep.................

It is almost 2 am........I'm exhausted but can't sleep....I had been trying to sleep since the last 3 hours, I've given up trying now.......I have to be at work by 8:30 am tmrw :(....anyway its Friday, one drowsy day at work and I can sleep in on Saturday........now to the card I made today. I took almost a whole day to make this one......not because it needed a lot of work but because I just couldn't get it right......I got a huge roll of broad white crochet lace last weekend and was eager to use it....I thought it'll look great on a black and white card......but couldn't think beyond the background.......after two failed attempts with silver glitter glue, which looked like this
(the black paper used for the base turned out to be a total spoil sport....nothing would stick on it, even the glitter glue came off after drying, couldn't stamp on it too, I also tried to make roll some silver ribbon into a flower but failed miserably there too) and if this was not enough I tried making some crochet flowers and they didn't come out well either....this is what I finally made........
It is inspired by Card Patterns sketch #65
Well I'm off to trying to sleep once again.....

Say it with Hearts!

This is a romantic 23rd Birthday Card made on request, hence the "23 Reasons" on the cover. The first page on the inside says "I love Nanni" (Nanni is the name of the lady for whom this was made).......followed by loads of heart shaped tags where the reasons will be written.
I made this like a mini maze book (not in size, it measure 9x9inches but in number of pages, it has 6 pages excluding the front and back)
"23" and "Nanni" have been cut out using Cuttlebug alphabet dies. The heart tags have been hand cut.
"love " has been written using Tim Holtz alphabet masks. There is a placeholder for a standard sized (4x6 inches) photograph on the other page.
 This is the back.

And 2 more views of the front

and the heart shaped tags.
Have a great Sunday!

Now to the card, this one is another attempt at Card Patterns Sketch #63 combined with Daring Cardmakers Emerald theme. I have done loads of embossing and inking and some stitching.......

Blue

I made this card based on this week's Card Patterns sketch, but am not in the least happy with the result :(. It looks too dull n boring, I tried masking over wet water color paper but miserably :( (its the background paper.....).
I do have another design in mind but am too tired to try it out today.........hopefully it will turn out better.

Good Night!

You're Invited

I made this on request, it is a romantic dinner date invitation. I have used my latest obsession, u guessed it, the loops round the page punch! I like it so much that I have used it on the inside too!

Craft Supplies

Aridaman (my husband) got back from the US yesterday, so guess what? I got tons of craft supplies :)
Well I ordered them online way before he left for US and got them delivered to a friend's place. I tried to be as selective as possible but still landed up spending a lot! Anyway no regrets!!
So here's a glimpse of what I got:
My first Martha Stewart punches (the loops around the page punch is amazing, watch out for loads of my cards featuring this ;)):
Marvy Uchida and Mcgill punches:
Cuttlebug Dies (my first alphabet die set, reduces my dependency on alphabet by itsy bitsy). I didn't get too many dies cause I don't have access to replacement B mats here :(
Instead I got tons of cuttlebug embossing folders!
And last but not the least I got loads of Tim Holtz's Mask (didn't know these would be so big, great for scrapbooks layouts).

My hands are itching to try these out....have a great week ahead!

Some more crocheted flowers!

Just a quick post before I call it a day.
I am back to crafting after a break of two weeks (seems like ages!).
This is loosely based on Card Patterns sketch #62 (I had seen the sketch on Sunday and made the card today by which time I had forgotten the finer details!).
Have used some more of my crocheted flowers, the pattern is from Lucy's beautiful blog. Can't wait to try out other lovely crochet patterns by her!
