A Vintage Card

Hope everyone's having a great weekend. I made this card for Altenew's September Challenge.....here's the inspiration for the card
I love the gold and crimson color combo Tasnim has used on her cards. Vintage Flowers is the only Altenew stampset I have and I love it (many more are on the way once my husband gets back from the US next week).
I stamped 2 layers of the vintage roses with distress inks, worn lipstick and picked raspberry, on watercolor paper. I went over the stamped roses with a waterbrush to blend the colors, once they were completely dry I added the final layer with Galaxy Gold Memento ink which I heat embossed with Zing  Gold Glitter Embossing powder. I did the same with the sentiment which is by WPlus9. Added some gold gelatos over the entire background to give it a vintage look.
This card was extremely difficult to photograph, it does look much better IRL. I usually use my iphone for photographing my cards, for this card I had to use my DSLR and I still couldn't get a very good shot :(

Pastel Colors Watercoloring

Happy Tuesday people, hope you are having a great week. I'm sharing my second card for this week.
I made the background of this one by coloring through a Crafter's Workshop stencil on watercolor paper using Gelatos and Tombow Dual tip waterbased markers. The stencil is called "mini swirly garden" if I'm not mistaken.
The colors are inspired by this week's Runway Inspired Challenge #ric92

Pink and Blue..

Hello Everyone, I hope you are having a great weekend. I stayed at home today and made 2 cards :)
Here's the first one. I created the back ground by randomly coloring with water color pencils through a stencil and then going over it with a water brush. Once it dried and splattered some metallic blue gelatos with a broad brush. The "happy" is made with 4 layers of hot pink "happy" die cuts and a final slightly skewed black one.
This card is inspired by this month's Pinterest Inspired Challenge

You inspire me

Happy Wednesday Folks! Hope you are having a great week...
I'm back with another card, the third this week....had so much creating this. I created the background with MFT Large Chevron Stripes Stencil and Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst Sprays. The sentiment is from Altenew and the butterfly from Hero Arts. I wanted to some metallic silver thread under the sentiment but I didn't have any so put some silver beading wire instead :P

Hello everyone,
I'm back with another card......tried some stamping and heat embossing on Kraft cardstock, don't you just love how white looks on Kraft? The image is from Hero Arts and the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp. I've colored the stamped image with Derwent Inktense pencils (my latest craft addiction!)

To the moon and back....

Hello Everyone, I hope you are having a great weekend. I finally managed to unpack most of my craft supplies and get them in some sort of order. I even managed to make a couple of cards, there is still a lot of organizing that needs to be done but I'm happy that I am finally able to craft, I even seem to be getting my mojo back!
Now over to the card....this is a rather simple card that quite did not turn out the way I wanted it to. I got myself a set of 24 Derwent Inktense Color Pencils this week and couldn't wait to try them out. I did the background with them and also colored the stamped sentiment with them; love the vivid colors. The stamps are from an old set by My Favorite Things.

Happy Teachers' Day..

I made these easel shaped cards for my daughter's teachers, I am so grateful to them for making Kriti feel at home in her new school. She is having such a good time there and just adores her teachers.
I haven't unpacked my craft stuff yet so making these was quite a challenge. I cut the easel using my Silhouette Cameo, this is the design I used.
The free teachers' day printables are from here and here.
