Gold Striped Background

Hello everyone! Hope you are having a great weekend, I'm spending my Sunday afternoon catching up on blogging and visiting my favorite blogs.

I've been seeing a lot of cards with bold stripy backgrounds and I just love them. Here's my take on the bold striped background. I've used gold shimmer tape to create it. The flowers are from PTI, I've watercolored them with Abandoned Coral Distress Ink and Gansai Tambi watercolors.

Inlaid Diecutting

Hello everyone! Cards with inlaid diecutting keep popping up on my Instagram feed so I just had to try it out. The current challenge at Inspired by All the Little Things #15 is just apt for it.

The honeycomb die is from Paper Trey Ink. I've had it forever but never really used it till now. The happy birthday die cut is from MFTstamps.

2 Watercolor Cards

Hello everyone! I'm just popping in to share 2 watercolor cards I shared on other social media platforms.
The first one has a rainbow watercolor wash background on which I added some white gelato accents through a stencil. I also inked up a Waffle Flowers Crafts die-cut doily with white pigment ink and used it as a stamp.

Welcome, little one

Hello everyone! I hope you are having a great week. Today I'm sharing a CAS card with Reverse Confetti stamps, aren't those koalas the most adorable bears you've ever seen! I just can't get enough of them.

I don't have coordinating dies for these so I used my Silhouette Cameo's Pix Scan mat to cut out the stamped images. I found a way to save the cut files so that I can quickly cut using a regular Silhouette cutting mat the next time and then stamp the image on it. This'll save a lot of time as I won't have to stamp the images, mount on the Pix Scan mat, take a picture, transfer to my laptop and generate the correct trace area every time I want to stamp and cut. It's really easy, I'll post a tutorial soon.

Altenew Mother's Day Card

Hello everyone! A very Happy Mother's Day to all the lovely Moms out there. It's already Monday over here in Singapore. My Mother's Day was really special, my 4 year old daughter gifted me a fan and a canvas bag with her artwork on them. She made them at school with her teachers' help, hid it and gave it to me on Sunday morning. I was so touched, this is first time she has gifted me something :)

HLS May Mixed Media Challenge

Hello everyone! This month's theme at Happy Little Stampers May Mixed Challenge is Shine.

We'd like to see some shimmer and shine on your projects.
The winner will receive one stamp set of their choice from Happy Little Stampers.
Here's what I made

The background is made using a stencil and shimmer sprays.
I stamped the butterflies in gold and heat embossed them with shimmery gold embossing powder. The butterfly is from Happy Little Stampers Butterfly Birthday Stamp set.

Pretty Peonies

Hello everyone! I recently got a pack of double sided origami paper from a local $2 store. It's a little thin but it's got these amazing patterns in some amazing color combos which make great backgrounds for cards. I can't get enough of them so I made 4 cards at one go! I'm new to making more than 1 card at a time but I'm loving it!

The stamps are from the Pretty Peonies WPlus9 set which I have stamped with Altenew crisp inks.
The sentiments are from Stamplorations.

Can't go wrong with such pretty blooms!
